The Magic of a Wedding by the Lake –
Standing on the shores of Lake George with my camera in hand, I felt that familiar rush of gratitude. Every wedding is unique, but this one was especially close to my heart. Sherri and Jonathan weren’t just any couple—they were the proud owners of Trekker, a beautiful resort nestled at the base of the Adirondacks. And this wasn’t just any venue—it was their own labor of love.
They chose to marry on the very land they built together. The ceremony site was tucked in a peaceful corner of the property, while the reception took place in the backyard, creating an atmosphere that was personal, warm, and full of meaning.
Photographing with Intention and Emotion –
From the moment I arrived, I could feel the love in the air. Their families welcomed me with such warmth, and the energy was full of anticipation and joy. As always, I began with the little details—rings, hand-written vows, and meaningful items that told their story.
Sherri’s getting-ready moments with her mom were emotional and tender. Jonathan’s solo portraits reflected his calm yet excited energy. And when the time came for their vows—oh, what a moment. The intimacy, the rawness, and the deep connection between them moved everyone, including me.
Million Dollar Views at Million Dollar Beach –
After the ceremony, we headed to Million Dollar Beach for couple portraits. This location never disappoints. The soft golden light reflecting on the water, the mountain views in the distance, and the peaceful vibe made it the perfect setting for capturing their love.
Sherri and Jonathan were completely themselves—laughing, holding hands, savoring the quiet in between the celebration. These are the moments I live for: the unposed, genuine expressions of love.
